Roadware 10 Minute Concrete Mender is an extremely low-viscosity, two-component structural polyurethane designed to penetrate and repair damaged concrete.
Its low surface tension allows the material to flow deeply into fine cracks, fissures and porous concrete. Rather than simply covering the surface, Concrete Mender penetrates the concrete-aggregate matrix and creates millions of microscopic bonding points through Roadware’s Microdoweling™ technology.
This penetrating action restores aggregate interlock and helps reconnect fractured concrete across the repair.
Concrete Mender can be applied neat for penetrating fine cracks and delamination or combined with specified manufactured silica or quartz sand to produce a high-strength polymer concrete for repairing spalls, holes and larger damaged areas.
At approximately 21°C, completed repairs can typically be returned to traffic in just 10 minutes, substantially reducing downtime in operational warehouses, factories, coolstores and other demanding facilities.
Roadware Microdoweling™ Technology
Roadware 10 Minute Concrete Mender does more than fill the visible surface of a crack.
Its extremely low viscosity and surface tension allow the polyurethane to penetrate the pores, fissures and bond lines within the surrounding concrete.
As the material cures, cross-linked polymer chains create millions of microscopic connections between the fractured concrete surfaces and aggregate. Roadware refers to this penetrating bonding process as Microdoweling.
The result is a structural repair that reconnects the damaged concrete rather than forming only a surface-level patch.
Ready for Traffic in Approximately 10 Minutes
At approximately 21°C, Concrete Mender typically cures sufficiently for traffic in around 10 minutes.
This rapid curing makes it suitable for operational facilities where extended closures are impractical
Concrete Crack Penetration
Concrete Mender has a viscosity of less than 8 cps, making it almost water-thin.
This allows the material to penetrate fine cracks and damaged concrete using capillary action. Needle-tip static mixers are available for accurate application into narrow cracks and localised repair areas.
The crack must be open and accessible enough to receive the material. All contamination and loose material must be removed before application.
Polymer Concrete Repairs
For wider cracks, holes, spalls and deeper repairs, Concrete Mender can be combined with approved manufactured silica sand to create a high-strength polymer concrete.
A typical mix uses approximately:
One part Concrete Mender to two parts specified manufactured sand.
The aggregate must be clean, dry and correctly graded. Adding sand increases the repair volume, improves strength and brings the thermal movement characteristics of the repair closer to the surrounding concrete.

Polished Concrete Repairs
Concrete Mender is suitable for repairing cracks and defects in polished concrete floors.
The cured material does not smear across the surrounding concrete or clog diamond polishing equipment. Selected dry aggregate can be added to help the completed repair blend with the colour and texture of the existing concrete.
The final appearance will depend on the repair preparation, aggregate selection, concrete variation and polishing process.
Cold-Temperature Performance
Concrete Mender generates heat through its curing reaction and can be applied in subzero environments when installed in accordance with Roadware requirements.
This makes it particularly useful for repairing concrete floors in coolstores and freezers where conventional repair products may cure slowly or fail to develop the required bond.
Curing will take longer in extreme cold, so the anticipated service-return time must be confirmed for the actual site conditions.
